Q: What is Exchange?
A: Exchange involves men and women who want to make our country a better place for all.
Q: Well then, what do you exchange?
A: We "exchange" our services for charitable causes. Then we do philanthropic things with the money we raise.
Q: What about dues?
A: It's just $25.00 to join (one time only), and only $75.00 (includes bi-weekly dinners) quarterly.
Q: I heard you have great parties! Are you primarily social or philan...philanoth....? Whatever.
A: We do have a good time and enjoy socializing, but we do philanthropic work. Our charitable funds are never used for socializing.
Q: How much would I have to do?
A: We would like you to attend our meetings regularly and serve on one or two of our committees.
Q: I'm really busy and I don't have alot of extra time.
A: Then you're probably the kind of person we would want in the Club. You know the saying, "If you want to get something done, ask a busy person."
Q: What's in it for me?
A: Whatever you want to put into the Club. Those who do nothing for the Club get very little satisfaction from being members. It's just something that they put on their resume. But those who decide to get involved really get hooked. It's a darn good feeling when you're helping others, especially abused kids. You see, abused kids grow up and abuse their kids. We have to break the cycle!
Q: Are women allowed in the Club?
A: You bet! In fact, Exchange was the first national club to have women members - even before the government told other clubs they had to. This FDL club has had three female past presidents and a past National President was a woman.
Q: Do I have to go to a bunch of meetings?
A: You don't have to go, but you'll want to. We have two evening meetings per month that include dinner and a program. We have fun!
Q: How soon can I join?
A: How about right now? We'll even pick up the tab for your first meeting! How's that for a deal?
